Tranquility Park MTB Trail is Omaha's first approved off road trail system in a city park. These trails are primarily singletrack though there are also some short sections of doubletrack connectors. A good mix of terrain can be found here - everything from a tight, swervy switchbacks through pine trees, to wide open grassland climbs, followed by speed-building swooping descents to backcountry rough and dirty pockmarked tread. There may be a few sections that will put a rider off their bike (either by ejection or election) and there is a good amount of climbing to be had here (by Omaha standards). Race loop is approx 4 miles for all levels. |

TPMTBT is located smack in the middle of suburbia. Sandwiched between busy, traffic choked streets and a north-west Omaha neighborhood, the park surprisingly transports you to another place. With it's grassy hillsides and pine forests, you'd swear you were in the foothills of Colorado. Near the trail is a large open field and a big hill that's great for running the dog or viewing the racers approaching and descending. The park cozies up to Tranquility Soccer Complex and tennis courts. There are no public restrooms or running water at the trail head so look for the port-a-johns and bring extra water. Parking is plentiful, but not always close to the trailhead. |

North Entrance: From I-680 and Fort St. Go west on Fort St. about two miles to the soccer field entrance on the south at 124th. Park in the back of the first gravel parking lot nearest the farm house. The trailhead is at the edge of the mowed grass. West Entrance: From 129th St. and Fort St. Park at Bike Masters and ask inside for additional riders. Then ride south on 129th to 127th St. (First stop sign). Go east on 127th to Fowler Ave. (Second left). Go east on Fowler to the open lot. The trailhead is at the back of the lot. Note: This is a bike and walking entrance only with no parking. Go through the evergreens about 50 feet and turn right on the trail. South Entrance: From W. Maple St. and 124th St. Go north to the Moylan Iceplex parking lot and park in the NW corner (upper parking level, all the way to the end). |

North Trail Head: From the back of the west gravel parking lot head
south.
South Trail Head: Follow single track north up grassy hill. Where it
intersects with another trail, go right. You are now on the trail.
West Trail Head: Head east from 127th and Fowler streets. There is a
empty lot that looks like someone's yard. It belongs to the park. Ride east into
the evergreens about 50 feet. Once you see the trail, go right.
